Type | Purpose / Notes |
---|---|
Application | Typically used for the initial application for a credential. |
Appellate | Some programs allow credentialing decisions to be appealed. The appeals application uses the “Appellate” type to differentiate it from the original application. |
Maintenance | Typically used for recertification or “maintenance of certification” applications in which an existing Practitioner must regularly take action to remain licensed or credentialed. |
Represents a process that does not provide or confer a credential. Typically this is used for things like a name change application, requesting a certificate reprint, etc. |
