Learning Plan Details Pane

The ability to customize this part of the View Learning Plan was added in 11.0.29 and is only supported by Learning Plans on v2 (aka “LearningBuilder 10 Experience”)

Overview

The “details pane” at the top of the View Learning Plan page displays a set of details about the Learning Plan Instance.

By default, this displays the Learning Plan description, the name of the related Role/Credentials, the Practitioner’s Unique Identifier, and the Practitioner’s Role Status.

You can configure two aspects of this details panel:

  • Which data fields it displays;

  • Whether or not it is expanded by default

Configuration details

To configure the details pane:

  1. Edit the Learning Plan Definition and check “Use the ‘Learning Plan Details Pane’ Entity View”

  2. Edit the Entity Details for the Learning Plan’s Workflow

  3. Create an Entity View for the “Learning Plan Details Pane” view type in the desired Areas

  4. Make sure the Entity View is “enabled”

Configuring the Entity View itself is not enough. You must also edit the Learning Plan Definition to enable the setting as shown in the above screenshots.

This allows two different Learning Plans to share the same Workflow, one of them using the default details pane and the other using the modified version.

If a Learning Plan is configured to use the Entity View, but no active Entity View has been defined for the “Learning Plan Details Pane” view type, then the default Entity View will be displayed instead.
