Default Home Page

When a user logs in, they land on a default home page that depends on their specific permissions and roles. Sys Admins can override this logic using the https://heuristicsolutions.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOCS/pages/3077800009

Landing page rules

When a user logs in and has an incomplete Registration Process, then they are sent to the My Account page so that the process may continue.

In all other cases, the landing page depends on the user’s specific permissions and, in the case of Practitioners, their current Application(s).

A list of Areas is checked in sequence and the user is sent to the default navigation link in the first Area that they have access to.

The “default link” for an Area is the topmost 2nd level link in the user’s navigation menu, which will vary according to their specific permission set:

The sequence is:

Practitioner Area Default Page

In the Practitioner area, like in all Areas, the Dashboard link appears first. If a Practitioner has a Role granting them the Dashboard access then it will be their starting page regardless of their Learning Plan status.

For Practitioners without Dashboard access, the default page will depend on their Learning Plans:

  • If the user has exactly one active Learning Plan, it will be loaded by default

  • In all other cases, the default page will be the Learning Plan List page

In this context, an “active Learning Plan” is one where:

  • The Complete Learning Plan Workflow is Incomplete

  • The current date is within the Cycle Start Date and Cycle End Date range
