Task Group Activity Search Popup

This page covers the “Popup” Task Group search experience.

For other Task Group search experiences, see “Task Group Activity Search

For additional “Activity Search” use cases, see “Activity Search (Disambiguation)

1. Overview

The search popup is used when the user needs to select an Activity from a list of options. A common example of this configuration is when the user has taken an approved training course and needs to select that course from a list.

2. Configuration

The “popup” search experience is a robust system with many supported features and use cases:

  • The label of the “Add Activity” button can be changed (e.g. “Add Training” in the above screenshot)

  • The popup can show a browseable list of options immediately, or wait for the user to provide input.

  • The search form can be hidden completely, or configured to show specific fields

  • The result columns are configurable

  • Activities can be excluded from the list if they have already been added to the Learning Plan, exist on a different Learning Plan for the same owner, or overlap a date/time range that is already added to the Learning Plan

  • The status of the newly added Activity can be specified
