Overview

The TRAINING system features the American Society of Office Dogs, a credentialing program that awards specialty credentials to canines with a demonstrated ability to behave in an office environment.

This module picks up after the applicant has passed their exam and been awarded the Certified Office Dog credential.

If you are a Heuristics employee, you should go through training in your local development environment or in a personalized training instance so that you can reset to a known, clean starting point as needed.

If you are referencing the public training site at http://training.learningbuilder.com, you may run into discrepancies caused by an outdated starting point, or because of changes made by other users. Please contact us for assistance if that website does not match this documentation.

Setting the stage…

At this point, if you’ve been following the training modules in order, then you have applied for eligibility, had that eligibility approved, and have taken and passed your obedience exam.

In other words, you are now a Certified Office Dog! Go celebrate with some treats and come back when you’re done…

This is a simple module that introduces the My Account section of LearningBuilder and what it looks like for an active Practitioner.

Glossary term: Every Board’s terms are a bit different, but generally we use the term “applicant” to refer to someone that is in the process of obtaining a Credential, and the term “practitioner” to refer to someone that has an active Credential and is practicing in the field.

Other terms for “practitioner” are “licensee”, “diplomate”, etc.

View the My Account screen

Log in as the brand-new Member that you registered as in the earlier modules. (If you haven’t completed the earlier steps yet, you can log in as Chewy Jones instead)

After you log in, ignore the landing page (it’s for a different module) and click on My Account in the upper-right corner.

“My Account” shows Credentials you have started, earned, or are able to start.

Next steps…

Yeah, this was a pretty basic module. We’ll revisit this page later as part of additional training.
