Using the Training Workspace
New hires are provided a “desktop in the cloud” that already has the TRAINING site installed locally, for isolated use.
If you are a hiring manager tasked with preparing a workspace, go here:

Getting started
You should be provided instructions for accessing your training workspace by your hiring manager.
You will need these things:
Item | Notes | |
---|---|---|
1 | A Workspaces Client for your computer | Available for PC, Mac, even mobile devices |
2 | A registration code | Use SLiad+PRE57Q unless you are told otherwise |
3 | Your AWS credentials for the Operations (OPS) environment | Typically provided via LastPass when you started |
Setting up the client
When you first start the Workspaces Client, you’ll be asked for a registration code. Use the one provided above, unless you are told differently by your hiring manager.
Logging in
Log into the Workspace client using your AWS username and password for the OPS environment. This is just your username, WITHOUT the “@heuristics.net” part.
You should land in a Windows desktop that looks like this:
Getting started
There is a “START HERE” shortcut on the desktop. Double click it to open Chrome to the onboarding page.
From here you can follow a link to the “Onboarding Guide” in Confluence, or you can click the “LearningBuilder Training” page for the training intro.
The training site is only accessible from the AWS Workspace client; it is installed directly onto your cloud-based desktop.
