Overview

The TRAINING system features the American Society of Office Dogs, a credentialing program that awards specialty credentials to canines with a demonstrated ability to behave in an office environment.

This module picks up after an application for eligibility has been approved.

If you are a Heuristics employee, you should go through training in your local development environment or in a personalized training instance so that you can reset to a known, clean starting point as needed.

If you are referencing the public training site at http://training.learningbuilder.com, you may run into discrepancies caused by an outdated starting point, or because of changes made by other users. Please contact us for assistance if that website does not match this documentation.

Setting the stage…

It is very common for the credentialing process to include some sort of proctored exam. The Board’s mission is to protect the public by enforcing a set of competency standards, and exams are a popular way of assessing an applicant’s abilities in a practical way.

LearningBuilder does not deliver high stakes exams by itself. However, it does integrate with all major exam providers.

Typically, the integration works like this:

  1. Applicant applies for eligibility (previous module)

  2. Board confirms applicant is eligible to sit for the exam (previous module)

  3. Applicant is redirected from LearningBuilder into the exam provider’s website to choose a date, time, and location for their exam.

  4. Applicant shows up and takes the exam.

  5. Scores are submitted electronically to LearningBuilder, which then awards the credential (if the applicant passed the exam) or notifies them of the failure.

Step 1: Coming soon!

To keep things simple, the exam process is not currently modelled in the TRAINING system.
