3rd Party Payments

Summary

The Responsible Party → 3rd Party Payment Queue, also referred to as the "Pending Payment Queue", allows for one organization or member to make a single payment that satisfies the fees or obligations of one or more other organizations or members.

For example, in some real estate scenarios a Broker pays the licensing fees for all of their Sales Agents. This feature allows the Sales Agents to submit their applications into a holding queue so that the Broker can make a bulk payment at a later date.

Features

Using the Responsible Party area, a "supervisor" can access a list of all unpaid Payment attributes on the current Workflow Step of an active (Incomplete) Workflow with a Supervisor attribute that identifies them as the "responsible party" for the workflow.

This queue shows Payment attributes on Learning Plans, Activity Instances, Activity Definitions, and Member Role type workflows in a single grid.

The supervisor is able to multi-select one or more items and begin a checkout process. Once the checkout is complete, a single transaction is created with a line item for each selected Payment attribute. The Payment attributes are then marked as paid.

If the Payment attributes are configured with an "on success" Workflow Action, the action is added to the Workflow Action Processing Queue and processed in the background.
