Credentials / Disciplines
Overview
LearningBuilder supports the management of one or more credentials for both individuals and organizations. A credential can represent a certification, accreditation, professional portfolio, or any other logical grouping of applications and processes.
When an organization manages multiple distinct credentials, each is typically represented by a separate credential record, each with its own learning plans and associated role. However, this structure may vary in cases where multiple credentials represent progressive levels within a single discipline. In such cases, a single credential record is often used, with role status indicating the practitioner’s current level within the discipline.
To manage Credentials, look in the Admin Menu. Since different organizations have varying names for the term Credential, it can be set within the LearningBuilder Glossary. You term may have been changed in the Glossary. Common terms are: Certification, Accreditation, Discipline, and Credential.
