Configuration
This attribute collects:
- The Member Role to restrict the lookup to
- An additional filter (a custom database procedure) to apply when performing the member lookup
- Whether the end user uses a combo box to select the Supervisor, or navigates the Organization Hierarchy
- Whether the lookup should be restricted to existing LearningBuilder members only, or whether invitations should be sent to members that are identified and don't already exist in the system
Sending Notifications when the relationship is severed
In some cases, the supervisory relationship represents a significant business scenario and it is important to send notifications when the relationship is severed. Release 10.1.0 adds the ability to optionally configure what should happen when the relationship is severed by the supervisor, from the Responsible Party area. (These settings do NOT get applied if the Supervisory relationship is modified through the Workflow Engine)
There are three different ways that the system can respond when a Supervisor severs the relationship with a Supervisee:
- Send a notification to the Supervisor, confirming the removal (via the Supervisee Notification Of Removal Template)
- Send a notification to the Supervisee, explaining what is expected of them as a result of the relationship being severed (via the Supervisor Notification Of Removal Template)
- Update the Supervisee's Member Role Status to a new value, potentially making them eligible to establish a new supervisory relationship with a different entity
