Summary

The Organization Portal supports organizations who actively participate in managing the credentialing process of individuals associated with them. Credentialing Boards are increasingly interested in enlisting the support of employers to support their efforts to broaden the reach of a credential. Boards want to market to employers and have employers encourage (and possibly require) their credential. The Organization Portal's chief purpose is to allow organizations to remove barriers to the certification process for their employees.

Terminology

The terminology for this feature is somewhat tricky, as the nature of the relationship between an organization and an individual can take several forms. For example:

Employer - Employee relationship (the Organization is a business with an organizational account; the Employee is an individual associated with the Employer through a Supervisor attribute)
Program Administrator - Student relationship (the Organization is a representative of a school; the Student is an individual enrolled in the school (associated via a Supervisor attribute(?))
Supervisor - Supervisee relationship (the Organization is an individual who has a supervisory relationship with the Practitioner; the Supervisee is any learner who has assigned the Supervisor in a Supervisor attribute)

Principal User Stories

The Organization Portal supports several principal user stories:

As an Organization, I pay the application fee for an affiliated person (e.g., seeking or maintaining a credential so that I can avoid the reimbursement process ;
As an Organization, I act on a Workflow Step on behalf of an employee so that I can move the person forward in an Application Process ;
As an Organization, I remove a person from relationship with me so that I no longer need to perform actions on their behalf ;
As an Organization, I purchase a Voucher that I can share with an employee seeking or maintaining a credential to satisfy application fees ;
As an Organization, I view a list of people in the system who are associated with me ;
As an Organization, I upload a list of employees so that I can manage them as a group ;
As an Organization, I can assign each employee to a cohort so that I can manage a group of employees together ;
