Overview

The Activity Offerings was specifically designed to support the Course Sessions configuration scenario.

The primary actors in this scenario are:

  • The Program that offers a credential
  • The Provider that creates approved educational content for that credential
  • The Provider that offers the educational content to Practitioners
  • The Instructor(s) that delivers a specific session of the educational content
  • The Practitioner that consumes the content to satisfy an application or learning requirement

Supported Use Cases

Use CaseNotesFee Structure
Provider delivers their own contentProviders create educational content which is reviewed and approved by the Program. Approved content is listed in the LearningBuilder course catalog for Practitioners to find and is delivered by the owning Provider.
  • Providers pay the Program to review and list the content in the catalog
  • Practitioners pay the Provider to attend the course session
Program creates content; Providers deliver itThe Program can create its own educational content, while allowing 3rd party Providers to deliver it.
  • Providers pay the Program a fee to offer the content
  • Practitioners pay the Provider to attend the course session (usually marked up)

Bulk fee payments

In the model where the Program creates the content and Providers deliver it, the Provider may owe the Program a per-attendee fee.

The bulk fee payment feature allows the Provider to remit a single fee that covers multiple attendees, simplifying the accounting and administration.
